Unique Interests

Sustainable Farming Practices
I have a unique interest in sustainable farming, especially in exploring non-pesticide and non-chemical methods to grow healthy crops while protecting the environment. I enjoy learning about natural ways to manage pests, such as using beneficial insects or organic techniques, because it combines science with creativity to find safer solutions for both people and the planet. This interest allows me to think critically about how farming practices can be both productive and environmentally responsible.

Passion for Teaching and Simplifying
I also have a passion for teaching, particularly working with children. I enjoy breaking down complex topics into simple, engaging concepts that are easy for kids to understand. Whether through interactive activities, visual tools, or hands-on learning, I find it rewarding to see children connect with new ideas and gain confidence in what they learn. Teaching in this way helps me combine my love for education with my desire to make a positive impact on the community.

Varsity soccer and team leadership
As a varsity soccer team captain, I value teamwork, resilience, and leadership on and off the field. Sports have taught me discipline, communication, and how to motivate others which are skills I apply to both academics and community projects.

Culture Through Healthy Cooking
In addition, I am deeply interested in cooking and learning about different cultures through their traditional foods. With Moroccan and Iraqi heritage, I have grown up appreciating the rich flavors and traditions of both cuisines. I love experimenting with recipes and thinking about how to create healthier alternatives that do not take away from the cultural significance or flavor of a dish. This passion combines creativity and cultural appreciation, allowing me to explore ways to honor traditions while promoting healthier eating habits for families and communities.
